Trebuchets

Everybody should hear this: if you decide to make a trebuchet, play with it in the desert! Yesterday (today is 6/28/2001), I launched a rock with my trebuchet and almost hit somebody. That was just two yards from hitting a person. It's just too close. That stone I threw looks like it's capable of crushing somebody's bones if it hit them. Remember, these are dangerous devices made to ruin somebody's day.

You want to see photographs of my trebuchet don't you? (Maybe not some people) I don't have a digital camera (so what?) so there's no easy way. A standard camera costs too much to use and it might not be worth it. A photograph might not come put the way you want it to.

Okay, I might be insane. During Spring Break, I really DID build a trebuchet. I have to tell you, it's amazing. I was telling my friend about it on the phone and he was like "okay, yeah, uh huh, sure" until he came over. Then, it changed to "WHOA! WE HAVE TO GOT SHOW SOME PEOPLE!"

Just so that you don't get bored, check this site out. It's pretty cool, especially the video clips. I need some wood, but who in the world is going to get me some?! (myself)

This page just came up (3/28/2k1). The only thing you can look at here is my little trebuchet. I'm going to continue building during Spring Break.
